Preserving Nature's Glory

I recently read an article about a man who had ditched his former Environmentalist quest and had given up. He said it was essential to embrace the futility of saving this Earth. It’s the End of the World as We Know It . . . and He Feels Fine  And when I read the article I thought of all the beauty that surround us here in Colorado and thought certainly this is worth our effort to try and preserve this Beauty, this Glory?  To give up- No Way! So here is a tribute to what is and what will be preserved if we try:

Here are some shots of where I grew up in the Summers: The New York Adirondacks, which was preserved by Teddy Roosevelt Visit Adirondacks

A photo essay showing dramatically different amazing displays of color in Nature, it really is hard to believe it's real! 22 Technicolor Dreamscapes You Won't Believe Are Real, Actual Places In Nature

Here are a few of those in the article:

Here's some photos by David Cline in The Sierra Club David Cline

Deborah J. Whitman also of The Sierra Club Deborah J. Whitman

And finally Eric Emerson's work (also from Sierra Club) Eric Emerson

Certainly what we have been given by God is worthy of being preserved? Don't we have an obligation to not take this for granted and just make an effort in whatever capacity that we can to not destroy the very gift we are given in Nature?

Got a great shot of your own of Nature at it's finest? Then contribute pictures for Earth Day. This is a photo from Time magazine actually asking readers to submit their pictures for Earth Day We Want Your Pictures for Earth Day.

Today enjoy the beauty we have here in Colorado or wherever you are and be Thankful!
